We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity for the role of Director of Finance at AGH Solutions Ltd (AGHS). AGHS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust), which commenced trading in March 2018. AGHS provides a wide range of essential services, including estates maintenance, capital projects, facilities management, sterile services, wheelchair engineering, and procurement services to the Trust and other NHS customers, supporting health and care provision to communities.
The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time, with opportunities to shape AGHS's development, especially as Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is involved in the National New Hospital Programme.

Main duties of the job
The Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in managing relationships between AGHS and the Trust, aligning with shareholder and subsidiary expectations. The candidate will lead cultural initiatives and drive innovations as part of continuous improvement to achieve best practices in service delivery.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level with a Master's or equivalent qualification, or proven extensive experience.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Full qualification in a recognized professional accounting body (CCAB, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
Experience
* Financial management experience, including leadership in large, complex, results-driven organizations.
* Experience at a senior management level.
* Experience of working within the NHS and private sector organizations.
* Experience in partnership management, customer relations, and managing budgets, income, and financial growth.
* Experience in commercial contract negotiations, project management, and achieving financial targets.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement and change management methodologies.
Knowledge
* Understanding of NHS finance regulations.
* Knowledge of company accounting requirements, legislation, and accountability.
* Expertise in financial and commercial best practices.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of capital and tax accounting, including Corporation Tax and VAT regulations.
* Ability to contribute to strategic development and continuous improvement aligned with organizational values.
* Understanding of group structure accounting principles.
