Vulnerability Management Engineer

This role is a key part of Parkdean’s Information & Cyber Security structure, residing within the Vulnerability Management team. It involves managing daily security tools, reducing risks, testing, migration planning, and contributing to security projects.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and manage security tools day‑to‑day and investigate alerts
* Act as first point of contact for technical security tickets
* Conduct configuration and rule reviews of security tools and products
* Coordinate with external and internal testing partners to manage findings and track rectification
* Identify emerging cyber threats and support business to reduce impacts
* Perform internal security assessments (infrastructure, perimeter, cloud, build images)
* Lead technical risk reduction projects
* Support or lead on information and cyber security investigations and incidents
* Serve as a technical security advisor for the security department
* Conduct external open‑source threat intelligence research
* Drive maturity into vulnerability management practices and processes
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience in Cyber Security vulnerability management or a technical IT function such as infrastructure or 3rd‑line support, with a personal interest in cyber security
* Knowledge of ethical hacking, MITRE ATT&CK and threat‑hunting/intelligence techniques
* Experience using a range of security products (EDR/XDR, firewalls/WAFs, NMS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners)
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Cyber Security
* Strong problem‑solving mindset and analytical approach
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
