Job Description
Clinical Director – Brand-New Clinic | South-East London
Purovets is once again partnering with what we confidently consider one of London’s most respected independent veterinary groups as they prepare to launch an exciting brand-new clinic in South-East London.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced vet to step into a Clinical Director role from day one, helping shape the direction, culture, and clinical standards of a brand-new site while supported by a well-established and highly regarded wider team.
You’ll be leading a friendly and experienced team of two other vets alongside a skilled nursing and support staff team, all united by a shared ethos: delivering outstanding clinical care in an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. The wider group is well known for its collaborative culture, open clinical discussion, and strong support network, meaning you’ll never feel isolated despite leading your own clinic.
The practice is looking for someone with around five years’ experience or more who is confident managing cases and mentoring colleagues, but who also enjoys building strong client relationships and fostering a positive team culture.
This is a full-time role working four days per week, with participation in the weekend rota, and no out-of-hours commitments.
The clinic itself has been designed with both team wellbeing and clinical excellence in mind. Thoughtfully laid out and beautifully finished to reflect the stylish local area, it offers a genuinely pleasant place to work day to day. You’ll find modern facilities, excellent equipment, and the time and space needed to properly work cases up in-house, rather than rushing through appointments or referring unnecessarily.
Just as importantly, the wider group places huge value on creating an enjoyable and supportive workplace. The culture is one where ideas are welcomed, collaboration is encouraged, and teams are trusted to practice high-quality medicine without unnecessary corporate pressures. It’s a setting where vets are supported to develop their interests, share knowledge, and build long-term careers.
For someone looking to take the next step into leadership while still enjoying hands-on clinical work, this role offers the chance to build something special from the ground up while being backed by an exceptional veterinary community.
The Role
- Independent first-opinion practice - Brand-new, purpose-designed clinic - Supportive multi-vet team - Strong collaboration across a respected veterinary group - 4 days per week - Weekend rota participation - No OOHs
The Package
- Salary up to £100,000 (DOE) - Excellent benefits package - Genuine clinical freedom and case continuity - Opportunity to help shape a new clinic from the beginning - Be part of a team helping reshape modern veterinary practice
