We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused UAS Remote Pilot to join our growing operations team. This is a hands-on role at the forefront of UK drone logistics, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to live flight operations and help scale nationally significant aerial delivery services.
The Role
As a Remote Pilot (RP) at SkyliftUAV, you will be responsible for the safe execution of operational and internal testing missions in accordance with CAA regulations and company procedures. You will work closely with the Flight Operations Manager and Regulatory teams to deliver high-reliability drone operations in real-world environments.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in structured, safety-critical environments and takes pride in disciplined operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a Remote Pilot for commercial and Testing UAS missions.
* Conduct mission planning, airspace reviews, and operational risk assessments in compliance with UK CAA regulations.
* Execute flights in accordance with Skylift UAV Standard Operating Procedures and safety frameworks.
* Perform detailed pre-flight, post-flight, and technical inspections.
* Monitor aircraft performance and respond to anomalies.
* Coordinate with operational stakeholders and internal teams as required.
* Support route validation, system testing, and deployment of new operational sites.
* Assist in identifying and resolving operational or technical issues in the field.
* Represent Skylift UAV professionally during demonstrations and partner engagements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience operating within structured Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Proven experience flying drones or other aircraft systems.
* Valid A2 CofC, GVC, or equivalent UK CAA certification.Comfortable working in dynamic, safety-critical environments.
* Strong situational awareness and sound decision-making under pressure.
* Clear communicator with both technical teams and external stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules when required.
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience conducting BVLOS operations in the Specific Category.
* Additional aviation licences (PPL, CPL, etc.).
* EASA Part-66 or other aircraft maintenance qualifications.
* Experience assembling, integrating, or modifying UAS platforms.
* Background in manned aviation, aerospace engineering, or aviation safety.
* Experience as a CAA-approved instructor or examiner.
