Freightways is a haulage, storage, freight, and logistics company based in New Alresford, Hampshire. Founded in 2015, Freightways offers UK and international haulage, warehousing, container services, and pallet forwarding with the PalletForce network.
We have an experienced team, a fleet of vehicles including cars, vans, 7.5t, 18t and 44t artic trucks, and spacious premises (with parking) in New Alresford.
We are looking for a HGV Class 2 Pallet Network and Multidrop Driver to join our growing team, driving a Rigid truck or 3.5t curtainsided van. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting 30+ pallets a day from one location to another, ensuring all cargo is loaded securely and unloaded correctly and on time. You must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers and other drivers.
Hours between 07.00am - 18.00pm Mon-Fri, minimum 50 hours
Weekend Overtime available at higher hourly rate
Responsibilities/Skills:
* Good knowledge of the GU and SO postcodes
* Possess at least 2 years experience and hold a C category driving license and possess a valid drivers CPC certification
* Drive a truck in a safe and responsible manner.
* Maintain accurate records of cargo, mileage, and fuel consumption.
* Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
* Load and unload cargo securely and safely as needed.
* Adhere to all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
* Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers on the road.
* Maintain a clean and organized truck cab.

Pay: £14.42 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
