About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, providing high-quality home care services to elderly and disabled individuals in their own homes. You will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Assist with housing support tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and general household maintenance
* Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
* Provide medication prompts and ensure safe medication management
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
* Maintain accurate care records and report any changes in client condition
* Follow individual care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care coordination team
* SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards qualification
* Previous experience in care or support work (preferred but not essential)
* Valid PVG certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
* Valid driving license and access to own transport (preferred)
