We are looking for 3 x Experienced PCB Assembly Operatives to join the Production team.
Job Description
To carry out through-hole assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to high-quality standards, ensuring all work meets the workmanship, reliability, and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Insert through-hole components according to assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
* Perform hand soldering of components onto PCBs in accordance with IPC-A-610 and company standards.
* Trim leads and clean PCBs after soldering to ensure quality workmanship.
* Carry out wire preparation, cable assembly, and connector fitting as required.
* Visually inspect solder joints and component placement using magnification tools.
* Identify and correct defects such as insufficient solder, bridging, or misalignment.
* Perform basic functional checks and continuity testing when required.
* Accurately record build data, serial numbers, and inspection results.
* Complete route cards, assembly checklists, and quality forms in line with company procedures.
* Maintain soldering irons, fume extraction, and other tools in good working condition.
* Ensure proper handling of components in compliance with ESD control procedures.
* Support calibration and maintenance schedules for through-hole equipment.
* Follow all safety, ESD, and 5S housekeeping procedures.
* Report any process or quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience in through-hole PCB assembly or electronic manufacturing.
* Skilled in hand soldering and rework to IPC-A-610 Class 2 or higher standards.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly diagrams, and BOMs.

Knowledge of ESD-safe working practices.
Desirable ( although not essential

IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
* Experience with cable or loom assembly.
* Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems.
* Familiarity with AOI or visual inspection standards.
