We are seeking a Primary Teacher who will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils in a Key Stage 1 class. The role involves creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school located on outskirts of Banbury is a lovely friendly primary school with a supportive leadership team, who encourage staff training and development. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum. Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of pupils. Assess, monitor, record, and report on pupils progress. Provide constructive feedback to support student development. Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and curiosity. Classroom Management Maintain high standards of behaviour using positive behaviour-management strategies. Establish routines that promote respect, responsibility, and independence. Ensure the classroom is organised, well-resourced, and conducive to learning. Pastoral Care Support the emotional and social development of pupils. Work closely with parents and carers to ensure pupils wellbeing and progress. Identify and support individual learning needs, including SEN requirements. Professional Duties Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events. Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and leadership teams. Contribute to school-wide initiatives, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities. Follow safeguarding policies and maintain child protection responsibilities. Essential Skills & Qualities Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Creativity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff. Solid understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methods. Qualifications & Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Degree in Education or a related subject. Experience working with primary-aged children (classroom teaching preferred).
