Overview
Senior Planning Officer — Full Time, 37 hours per week. £Negotiable. Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire. Contract: Minimum 3 Month Contract. Hybrid Working, 1 day per week in the office.
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Officer to join one of our Northamptonshire based clients on a temporary contract.
Responsibilities
* Undertake research to build and maintain a strong evidence base for policy.
* Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies.
* Negotiate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to improve development proposals.
* Developing and reviewing local planning policies and frameworks.
* Lead/assist in public participation and community engagement activities.
* Manage databases, monitor trends, and analyse evidence for policy development.
* Provide policy advice on complex planning applications and corporate projects.
* Prepare statements, represent the Council at appeals, hearings, and court.
* Support delivery of special projects as required.
Essential requirements
* Previously working within a similar role.
