Part-Time Deputy Lead Children & Family Hub
Location: Hackney
Contract: Part-time - Initially 3 months - potential to Extend

Salary: £39 UMB per hour
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Lead to join one of Hackney’s Children and Family Hubs. This is a vital leadership role where you will help shape, coordinate and deliver integrated services that improve outcomes for children aged 0–19 (up to 25 with SEND) and their families.
Working closely with the Children and Family Hub Manager, you will provide management cover when required and play a key role in leading extended services teams, developing partnerships, and ensuring services are designed around the needs, voices and strengths of local families.
About the role As Deputy Lead, you will:
Provide managerial cover in the absence of the Children and Family Hub Manager
Line manage and support extended services teams
Develop, coordinate and commission high-quality, integrated services in partnership with stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships through Children’s Neighbourhood Partnership Boards and Parent/Carer Panels
Ensure children, young people and families are actively involved in shaping, delivering and evaluating services
Develop and deliver a Children and Family Hub Delivery Plan aligned with Hackney’s strategic priorities
Monitor and evaluate service impact against local and national targetsDelivering outstanding services You will work collaboratively to:
Support consultation and planning of core services with stakeholders, providers and children’s centres
Champion respectful, inclusive and effective partnership working across agencies
Lead by example, modelling a strengths-based, solution-focused, systemic and trauma-informed approach
Embed anti-racist and family-centred practice across services
Plan, support and monitor services that meet the needs of Hackney’s diverse communities, including families who may face barriers to accessing supportAbout you You will bring:
Experience working in children, family or community-based services
Strong leadership and partnership-working skills
A clear commitment to co-production, inclusion and tackling inequality
Confidence in planning, monitoring and evaluating services
