We are seeking an experienced and motivatedBasic Life Support (BLS) Instructor to join our training team. The postholderwill be responsible for the delivery of BLS training to clinical and non-clinicalstaff in line with Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) guidelines at variouslocations. This role is key to ensuring staff are competent and confident inresponding to life-threatening emergencies in healthcare and communitysettings.
Main duties of the job
Deliver high-quality BLS training sessions,including adult, paediatric, and neonatal CPR, use of automated externaldefibrillators (AEDs), and management of choking.

Proposed salary: Band 7.1 7.9 on the ABC pay scale
Hours of work: 3 hours per month
Tenure: One year fixed term
Base: Horley Health Hub
Primary duties and areas ofresponsibility
Facilitate practical training, skillsassessments, and scenario-based learning in accordance with ResuscitationCouncil UK standards.
Maintain accurate records of trainingattendance, certification, and staff compliance.
Contribute to the development and review oftraining materials, ensuring up-to-date evidence-based practice.
Support the wider clinical education team in thedelivery of mandatory training programmes.
Participate in audits, evaluations, and qualityimprovement projects related to resuscitation training.
Maintain and monitor resuscitation equipmentused during training, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience delivering training or teaching in a healthcare or education setting.
* Ability to manage a training session independently and adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs.
Skills and Abilities
* Basic IT skills, including use of email and learning management systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
* Recognised BLS Instructor qualification (e.g., RCUK BLS Instructor Certificate) or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
