A specialist provision in Stoke-On-Trent are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role involves teaching pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 who are working at primary curriculum levels, due to a range of learning needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
The Role
* Deliver adapted lessons based on the primary curriculum, tailored to individual EHCPs.
* Plan and deliver engaging, accessible sessions across English, maths, and topic work.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that supports academic and emotional development.
* Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic pupil progress.
* Use a range of strategies to support behaviour, communication, and engagement.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).
* Experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with autism and learning difficulties.
* Confident teaching primary content to older pupils with complex needs.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Knowledge of differentiated planning and assessment within a SEN setting.
* A valid enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
