The role:
1. Assist the SHEQ Manager in promoting a positive health and safety culture across the business.
2. Support the scheduling, coordination, and documentation of internal H&S audits for field engineers and group facilities.
3. Help maintain and update risk assessments, safe systems of work (SSoW), and other safety documentation.
4. Support the HR Advisor with training compliance and induction processes.
5. Assist with the preparation of site inspections and ensure all relevant documentation is completed and filed.
6. Provide administrative support for external Health & Safety audits.
7. Assist in maintaining documentation and evidence required for compliance with:
8. ISO 45001:2018 Health & Safety Management System
9. ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
10. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
11. Support the SHEQ Manager in preparing for external Quality audits and maintaining audit readiness.
12. Complete, update, and submit customer PQQs and supplier questionnaires.
13. Maintain accurate records, logs, registers, and controlled documents within the SHEQ management systems.
14. Maintain SHEQ databases, trackers and document control systems.
15. Assist in the preparation of reports, meeting minutes and action logs as required.
16. Assist with the organisation of SHEQ meetings, training sessions and audit schedules.
17. Provide general administrative support to the SHEQ Manager and wider SHEQ function.
18. Undertake any other reasonable duties that contribute to the success of the SHEQ team and wider business objectives.
The successful candidate:
19. Strong organisational and administrative skills.
20. Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
21. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
22. Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
23. Confidence communicating with employees at all levels.
24. Experience in a SHEQ or compliance administrative role.
25. Knowledge of ISO management systems.
26. IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification
