Role Overview
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support research activities and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with daily lab operations, including preparing materials, reagents, and equipment.
2. Support experiments and execute standard protocols.
3. Manage laboratory supplies, including inventory and procurement.
4. Maintain cleanliness and proper waste disposal in compliance with safety regulations.
5. Ensure activities adhere to company policies and protocols.
Objectives
1. Perform routine tasks such as sample preparation, equipment sterilization, pipetting, and media preparation.
2. Keep accurate records of orders, inventory, and waste management.
3. Conduct basic equipment maintenance and report issues promptly.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a professional, clean, and safe environment.
Selection Criteria
Experience
* Minimum of A-levels or equivalent, with Biology and/or Chemistry background.
* Previous laboratory experience is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with inventory management is a plus.
Preferred Knowledge
* Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and sterile techniques.
* Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including chemical handling and waste management.
