We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active receptionist to join the team based at our Colne Medical Centre. The role is offered on a part-time basis for 16-25 hours a week. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to); Booking appointments. Greeting patients. Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff. Updating patient records. Processing correspondence. L iaising with patients using various different types of communication methods. About the Candidate To be considered for the position, you will need the following; Excellent communication skills. Experience of working and providing customer services. Experience of a busy reception/public environment desirable. Flexibility to cover other shifts. Experience of working in a general practice will be an advantage but training will be given to a suitable candidate. G ood standard of education including Maths and English. Ideally you will have e xperience working wit hin primary care, however this is not essential. Experience of EMIS would be desirable, however full training will be given to a suitable candidate. F riendly and positive approach towards patients and other visitors either in person or over the telephone. Strong IT skills.
