Salary: £66 per hour PAYE Inside IR35
Location: Glasgow (3 days in the office required)
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst - BPMN to join their dynamic team in Glasgow. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the foundation of their ITSM framework, transitioning from limited process documentation to a formalised, process-led approach. What you'll do:
As a Business Process Analyst - BPMN, your role will be pivotal in supporting a firm-wide ITSM Transformation programme. You will be responsible for documenting current-state processes, analysing inefficiencies, and collaborating with stakeholders to design future-state processes that drive efficiency, adherence to controls, and scalability. Your ability to engage with various stakeholders and translate complex technical processes into accessible documentation will be key in this role. You will also have the opportunity to propose process improvements that enhance efficiency and enable automation.
* Engage with process owners/managers, IT operational teams, and stakeholders to map and document existing IT processes using industry-standard notation (BPMN)
* Identify undocumented or informal processes through interviews, workshops and question/answer sessions
* Capture process pain points, inefficiencies, and gaps in consistency or control
* Collaborate with process owners/managers and across the Process Governance function to design streamlined, standardized future-state processes aligned with ITIL best practices
* Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency, enable automation, and adherence to controls
* Develop process models, workflows, and documentation that are clear, scalable, connectable to one another and in line with our process architecture standard
* Facilitate workshops and meetings to validate current-state findings and gain buy-in for future state designs
* Translate complex technical processes into accessible documentation for diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders
* Create high-quality process documentation, including process maps and workflows to serve as a foundation for governance and training
What you bring:
As a Business Process Analyst - BPMN, you will bring your proven experience in process modelling and business process management to the role. Your track record of documenting and designing IT processes in environments with limited formal process documentation will be invaluable. You will have experience with ITSM frameworks and tools like ServiceNow, BMC, Remedy etc. Your proficiency in process modelling tools and notation standards will be key to your success in this role. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to identify inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements. Your exceptional communication and facilitation skills will allow you to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
* Proven experience in process modelling and business process management
* Preferred experience in ITSM Transformation projects
* Track record of documenting and designing IT processes in environments with limited formal process documentation
* Experience with ITSM frameworks (e.g. ITIL 4) and tools like ServiceNow, BMC, Remedy etc.
* Proficiency in process modelling tools (Signavio, Visio, ARIS etc.) and notation standards (e.g. BPMN)
* Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements
* Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to engage diverse stakeholders
* Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment with ambiguity
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple process streams and deliver high-quality documentation on time
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL 4, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma) are highly desirable
