Job Title: Health & Safety Co-ordinator
Location: Walsall
Industry: Infrastructure / Construction / Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Health & Safety Management System.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
* Assist in the development of method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
* Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
* Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
* Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure best practices are followed.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
What We\'re Looking For
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a health and safety role within the infrastructure, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple project sites.
* A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Desirable: Membership of IOSH or working towards it.
* Experience with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
* First Aid at Work qualification.
