Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer required to support a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
This role focuses on maintaining and improving plant performance through both reactive and planned maintenance, working across a wide range of production and processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across site equipment
* Diagnose faults using inputs/outputs, drawings, and data analysis
* Work on a variety of machinery including processing, packaging, and automated systems
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety standards
* Collaborate closely with production and other engineering teams
* Maintain accurate records and utilise maintenance systems effectively
The Ideal Candidate will have:
* Electrical bias with strong multi-skilled capabilities
* Proven experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred)
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role
* Ability to fault find, read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC or equivalent)
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Desirable Skills:
* Experience within food manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of PLC systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider)
* Understanding of automated production and packaging equipment
* Familiarity with maintenance systems (e.g. SAP PM)
* Knowledge of health & safety and food safety regulations
