Plant Manager – Energy from Waste Operations Altera Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a leading energy and resource recovery business to appoint an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at a flagship Energy-from-Waste (EfW) near Glasgow. The Plant Manager is a critical leadership role overseeing site performance, compliance, safety, and strategic development to ensure excellence in operations and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities of a Plant Manager: * Lead day-to-day operations of the EfW and MRF site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (QEH&S) standards. * Drive performance by meeting and exceeding plant KPIs, availability, and operational efficiency metrics. * Manage all internal teams and external interfaces including contractors, regulators, and service providers. * Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control activities to meet company and client targets. * Develop and nurture a high-performing workforce, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
