A respected facilities management provider is seeking an Electrically Biased Lead Engineer to take ownership of maintenance delivery across two sites in Central London. This role offers stability, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to work within a supportive, well-structured contract environment.
Operating between sites, you’ll ensure the smooth operation, safety, and compliance of electrical and building services infrastructure.
The Role
You will be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), installation, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and general building fabric systems. The position involves both hands-on technical work and proactive site management, ensuring compliance with company and statutory standards.
Hours: 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm
Key duties include:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across both campuses.
*
Fault finding, testing, and repair of M&E building services equipment.
*
Supporting general building fabric tasks (e.g. doors, fixtures, fittings).
*
Maintaining accurate records via site and company systems.
*
Ensuring consistent Health & Safety compliance and quality standards.
*
Coordinating with contract support, mobile teams, and specialist subcontractors.
*
Representing the business professionally to site management and client stakeholders.
About You
We’re seeking a technically strong, self-motivated engineer with a professional attitude and the ability to build effective working relationships on-site.
Essential Requirements:

Electrically biased with City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ in Building Services or Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
*
18th Edition IEE (C&G 2382) qualification.
*
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
*
Demonstrable experience in building services maintenance, ideally within a client-facing environment.
*
Confident working independently and managing day-to-day site priorities.
*
Strong communication and documentation skills.
*
Excellent understanding of workplace Health & Safety.
Desirable:
*
City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection.
*
IPAF or PASMA certification.
*
HVAC or general Building Services experience.
