Overview
Our client based in Liverpool is a leading supplier of quality used pallets, serving businesses across the UK and they currently have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the team on a full time, permanent basis!
The hours of work are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday working a total of 40 hours per week.
The role is a hybrid position, with a mix of both office and remote working.
The salary is 30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Source and purchase used pallets efficiently, balancing cost, quality and delivery schedules
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, including major blue‑chip logistics companies such as DHL, DPD, Royal Mail and Parcelforce
* Negotiate pricing, contracts and delivery terms with suppliers
* Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory management
Qualifications
* Proven procurement experience, ideally in logistics, supply chain or waste management
* Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills
* Knowledge of pallets, materials handling or waste/recycling operations (advantageous)
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple sourcing projects
