Operations Manager
Birmingham & Dublin

5 days out of 7 – 9:00am- 5:00pm
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and support operations across the UK and Ireland. This is a pivotal role within a fast-paced, customer-focused organisation that provides innovative solutions to the retail sector.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, adaptable, and able to inspire and motivate teams while ensuring operational excellence across multiple sites. You will be responsible for driving performance, embedding effective systems and processes, and ensuring consistent delivery of the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Operations Director to deliver the wider operational strategy.
Manage, mentor, and support a team of department managers across the UK and Ireland.
Review and assess team performance, providing coaching to build capability.
Identify key milestones and ensure that targets are achieved within agreed timeframes.
Drive improvements in team motivation, performance, and morale.
Foster collaboration across departments, encouraging cross-functional working.
Build and deliver departmental strategies aligned with business opportunities.
Support change initiatives and guide the team through periods of transition.
Address operational issues effectively, including conflict resolution where necessary.
Ensure robust systems and processes are in place and consistently followed.
Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Provide cross-office support, working flexibly across UK and Ireland operations.
Requirements
Proven track record of managing large and diverse operational teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
Strong financial awareness with experience in budgeting, cost management, and supplier negotiation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to learn and utilise new internal systems quickly and effectively.
Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland.
Benefits
Full-time role based at the Birmingham head office. (occasional travel to Dublin)
Core hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm (with flexibility required depending on business needs).
Regular travel within the UK and Ireland to support operational delivery.
