Job Description:
Simply Education is seeking dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants for the summer to support nursery schools. The roles involve assisting in the development and learning of young children through play-based activities and holistic development. Candidates should have experience in early childhood education, knowledge of the EYFS framework, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and implementing play-based learning activities.
* Encourage social-emotional development and positive interactions among children.
* Help develop children's fine and gross motor skills through engaging activities.
* Support language acquisition and early literacy development.
* Facilitate numeracy skills through age-appropriate activities.
* Engage children in sensory and creative play.
* Supervise outdoor learning activities ensuring safety.
* Foster phonemic awareness and school readiness.
* Provide support to children with diverse needs in an inclusive setting.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to support holistic development.
* Monitor and record children’s progress through observation and assessment.
* Maintain routine and classroom structure.
* Participate in early intervention strategies.
* Promote resilience and positive reinforcement.
* Uphold the principles of the EYFS and assist with transition to school.
Requirements:
* Experience working with young children in educational settings.
* Knowledge of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage children in interactive learning activities.
* A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
