At Positive Steps Care & Support Ltd we are seeking to recruit a caring and passionate individual to join our fantastic organisation. We are hiring for a Care Co-Ordinator position here in our fast-paced Plympton based office. The position will require you to work alongside our Registered and Care Managers as well as other Care Co-Ordinators to ensure the smooth day to day running of operations at Positive Steps while working in line with our company policies and procedures.
The office operates at a fast pace with deadlines to meet, so it is essential that you are able to prioritise your workload and work well under pressure, but also maintaining a fun and proactive office environment.
Working Hours
* Monday – Friday
* 08:30 – 17:00
* An on-call service operating one evening per week and one weekend in six.
Requirements for the position:
The attributes we are looking for in a successful candidate include;
* A person who is compassionate, enthusiastic and has a positive attitude to help support our services to improve their lives while maintaining a professional and friendly manner.
* A minimum of 6 months experience within health and social care, ideally with knowledge and experience in the areas of any of the following: Autonomic Dyslexia Brain Injury, Dementia, Huntington's, Physical Disability and Spinal injuries. However, transferable skills and personal experience will be considered.
* A full clean driving licence will be preferred for this role.
* Possess good communication skills
* Have the ability to work as part of a team effectively while maintaining the skills to use their own initiative and take a creative approach to their daily role.
* An excellent telephone manner.
* Confident IT skills
Main Responsibilities
* Developing effective working relationships with Positive Steps employees, staff and the people who use our service.
* Helping to maintain care packages while abiding by company policies and procedures.
* Overseeing rotas.
* Allocating staff to cover agency shifts.
* General administration duties
* Taking part in an on-call rota.
