Site Industrial Hygiene & SHE Technician - - - - - - - - - - - - KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS (Industrial Hygiene – Primary) Lead and maintain hygiene risk assessments, ensuring effective controls for chemical, physical and biological exposures. Monitor and analysis occupational exposure risks, including noise, vibration, EMF, air quality and chemical hazards. Support the delivery and continuous improvement of site industrial hygiene programmes, procedures and action plans. Provide technical guidance during equipment or process changes to ensure hygienic design and safe working conditions. Contribute to incident management, investigations and corrective actions related to hygiene and occupational health. Support regulatory compliance activities relating to industrial hygiene and participate in internal audits. Secondary Responsibilities (Environment) Assist the SHE Manager with environmental monitoring and compliance activities (waste, water, emissions, carbon-related topics). Support elements of environmental risk assessments and improvement plans as required. Participate in environmental training, committees and networks when relevant to site objectives. SHE Team Support In addition to your core hygiene responsibilities, you will: Support SHE documentation management and data processing. Assist with organizing training, audits and compliance activities. Contribute to broader SHE functions, including Ergonomics, Fire & Security support when required. About You Essential Qualifications & Experience BOHS certificates (W501, W503, W507) or working towards a higher professional level. Experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health within an operational or industrial setting. Strong Microsoft 365 and Excel skills. Technical Skills Understanding of occupational exposure controls and workplace hygiene strategies. Ability to analyse data and produce clear technical reports. Familiarity with ISO 45001; ISO 14001 knowledge beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Personal Qualities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Organized, adaptable and able to prioritize effectively. A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
