You’ll join a warm, supportive team who provide accommodation and one‑to‑one recovery‑focused support to adults living with mental illness. You’ll play a key role in helping people regain confidence, develop daily living skills and successfully manage their tenancy, all while being part of a service that values choice, dignity and inclusion.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

NCHA is officially recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™, a Best Workplace for Wellbeing™ and a Best Workplace for Women™. Our colleagues tell us they feel supported, valued and proud of the work they do.

Your benefits include

* 37‑hour working week
* Generous annual leave, with buy / sell options
* Healthcare cash plan, counselling & wellbeing support
* Help with bus and tram passes

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a support role - not personal care.

You’ll provide face‑to‑face support to people living with mental illness, helping them to :

* Build confidence and emotional resilience

* Develop skills for independent living
* Maintain a positive tenancy

Some individuals may need help to manage challenges such as substance misuse, anti‑social behaviour or offending‑related risks. You’ll respond proactively and work closely with housing, legal and criminal justice partners when needed.

You’ll also keep clear, accurate records - so confidence with IT, numeracy and writing is important.

What You’ll Have…

* You have an understanding of mental health needs and a genuine desire to make a difference
* You stay calm and patient - even during challenging moments
* You’re confident communicating with vulnerable adults and other professionals
* You’re organised, reliable and able to work independently
* You have basic IT, literacy and numeracy skills

Shift Patterns

Our support runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You’ll work a range of shifts, typically between 8am–9pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

A Few Things to Know

* Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis in Nottingham and include a short literacy and numeracy test
* We may close the vacancy early if we receive high interest
* You must attach a CV when applying
* We cannot offer sponsorship
* NCHA strives to be a welcoming and inclusive employer as such we particularly welcome applicants from men, as they are currently under‑represented within in our Care and Support department.

If you’d like to do work that matters and join a team that supports you as much as you support others, we’d love to hear from you
