About the Role:
One of my local government clients are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Administrator to join their Legal Services Department on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy legal team dealing primarily with Care Proceedings and public sector legal work.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and operate systems for renewals of interim orders in Care Proceedings
*
Prepare and deliver court bundles under solicitor supervision
*
Draft and send letters, respond to telephone enquiries, and prioritise communication
*
Maintain both electronic and paper diaries for legal professionals
*
Use the Iken Case Management System for documentation and time logging
*
Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, and cheque requests
*
Contribute to ongoing improvements in office procedures and standards
Ideal Candidate:
*
Previous experience in a legal administrative or legal assistant role
*
Understanding of legal processes, ideally in public law or Care Proceedings
*
Familiarity with legal case management systems (Iken preferred)
*
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*
Professional, confident communicator – both written and verbal
