Location: Stalybridge Salary: £41,340 - £45,240 per annum (Based on 37.5 hours per week) Bonus: £1,000 Welcome Bonus (£500 post-induction / £500 post-probation)
The Opportunity
Are you a passionate leader dedicated to transforming the lives of young people? We are looking for a Service Manager to head our supported accommodation service in Stalybridge.
In this role, you won't just manage operations; you will champion a nurturing environment where young people can build resilience, learn essential life skills, and successfully transition to adulthood. Operating under The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centered support.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership: Inspire and manage a support team through regular supervisions, appraisals, and training.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily running of the home, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering atmosphere.
* Case Management: Develop tailored support and safety plans, conducting regular progress reviews with external agencies and families.
* Compliance: Maintain meticulous records and ensure all activities align with regulatory standards and safeguarding procedures.
* Crisis Management: Lead the response to incidents promptly and effectively, prioritizing the safety of all residents.
* Advocacy: Ensure the voices of young people are heard and integrated into the decision-making processes of the home.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 2 years in children's social care, supported accommodation, or a similar setting, with at least 1 year in a management capacity.
* Qualifications: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children, Young People, and Families. You must hold-or be willing to work toward-a Level 5 Management qualification.
* Skills: Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted/regulatory requirements, and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Logistics: A valid UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
* Authorisation: Must have the right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available).
