We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join this growing team in a role that starts with strong foundations in business development and appointment setting, but is designed to develop into much more over time. What You’ll Be Doing: Business Development (50%) • Identifying and engaging new prospects, focusing on large multi-site businesses and national groups • Booking high-quality meetings for the Head of Business Development and wider team • Researching target sectors and building strong prospect lists using LinkedIn and other platforms • Creating opportunities within leisure, hospitality, healthcare and casual dining operators • Tracking activity and performance against targets. Sales Support (30%) • Supporting the Head of Business Development with reporting, pipeline tracking and CRM management • Assisting with tenders, proposals and presentations • Supporting onboarding of new clients and sales initiatives • Acting as a key internal point of contact within the M&M team. Account Management Development (20%) • Managing a small portfolio of existing customers • Building relationships and identifying growth opportunities • Gaining hands-on experience in client development and retention. What We’re Looking for in You: • Proven success in a sales-focused role where generating opportunities or booking meetings was part of the job • Energetic and target-driven with a positive attitude • Confident speaking with decision-makers and building rapport quickly • Comfortable prospecting, calling and engaging new businesses • Strong organisation and attention to detail • Ability to handle objections and challenging conversations • Experience using CRM systems and IT platforms • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a sales role, ideally including appointment setting or business development activity • Live within a 45-minute commute of Maidenhead Why Work with Us? • £27k–£30k basic salary, OTE £37k–£45k with uncapped commission • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays (36 days total) • Structured quarterly reviews, including an annual pay review • Clear development pathway into Business Development Manager or Account Management roles • Health cash plan, pension scheme, and income protection • Mobile phone provided • Work within the specialist M&M team dealing with international manufacturers and major multi-site customers • Learn directly from experienced senior sales leadership • Supportive, ambitious team environment The Opportunity This is the ideal role for someone who wants to start in business development but doesn’t want to stay purely in appointment setting long-term. You’ll build strong foundations in new business, gain exposure to major customers and international brands, and develop wider commercial skills through sales support and account ownership. For the right person, this role can naturally progress into a full Business Development Manager or Account Manager position
