Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Paediatric Department at Dr Griess hospital for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic, forward‑thinking team.
The Children’s ward is a 8‑bedded unit with a high turnover of paediatric patients. Patients requiring day case procedures, infusions and routine reviews are cared for alongside acute medical admissions, providing a wide variety of patients to care for.
Elgin and the surrounding Moray County is a popular area to live in, with good transport links to Aberdeen and Inverness.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care to paediatric patients in a busy, high‑turnover ward.
* Assist with day case procedures, infusions and routine reviews.
* Support acute medical admissions and ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain a caring and stimulating environment for young patients.
Qualifications
* Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker status or equivalent experience.
* Enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
