Location: Irthlingborough NN9 5QQ
Shift Pattern: 45 hours per week
Salary: £34,000.00 - £35,000.00
An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Depot Operations Manager at our Irthlingborough depot Monday to Friday 10.00 - 20.00
Your key duties will include:
1. To help to ensure that all necessary compliance is achieved within the Goods Vehicle Operators Licence requirements, adhering to company procedures in key areas such as; vehicle servicing / MOTs, drivers hours regulations and tachograph analysis.
2. To help manage the company’s Health & Safety policy within the depot, ensuring adherence to all guidelines and safe working practices.
3. Responsibility for HR requirements within the depot ensuring that optimum staffing levels are maintained throughout peak times and holiday periods.
4. Ensure that traffic administration procedures are completed and followed daily.
5. Review delivery, collection and trunk planning regularly throughout the shift with relevant staff.
6. To manage driver labour costs and overtime as well as external agency usage
7. KPI accountability on service levels, delivery and collection utilisation and labour/agency costs
8. To achieve a high level of customer service, liaising with depot General Managers and Sales Managers when problems or issues occur
What you will need:
9. CPC Qualification desirable.
10. A flexible approach, along with a proven record with use of the Manpack system and data entry / analysis is a must.
11. Additional training and support will be available with regard Management responsibilities and legislation.
