Key Responsibilities: • Assist in Activity Delivery: Plan and support the delivery of fun, stimulating, and age appropriate activities that encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. • Child Supervision: Help supervise and engage children in play, ensuring their safety and well-being while they participate in activities. • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team to create a safe and welcoming environment where children feel supported and encouraged to explore, learn, and have fun. • Health and Safety: Assist with daily safety checks, risk assessments, and ensuring children are cared for in accordance with safeguarding policies and health and safety standards. • Build Positive Relationships: Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other team members to maintain a positive, collaborative atmosphere. Skills and Requirements: • Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. • Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic personality. • A passion for working with children and supporting their development through play. • Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities. • Commitment to The Gap Club’s HEART values and our mission to foster wellbeing, inclusivity, and lifelong learning. Benefits: • 100% childcare discount for one child while working at The Gap Club. • Holiday Club hours available during school holidays for additional income. • Uniform provided. • Training and professional development opportunities, including support for gaining childcare qualifications. • Company pension and additional employee benefits. Schedule: • Monday to Friday, 14:15 pm to 18:30 pm, with optional additional hours during school holidays. Equal Opportunities Statement The Gap Club is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are dedicated to ensuring equal opportunities in our recruitment process and throughout employment. We believe in the importance of fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. All employees must complete an Enhanced DBS check and adhere to safeguarding training and policies. Any concerns regarding children’s welfare must be reported to the safeguarding lead. We are fully committed to creating a safe environment for children and ensuring that all our staff are adequately trained to carry out their duties.
