Accounts Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity arise within our thriving accounts department to join the team and support the growth and achievements of the business. Working as part of the Holdcroft Motor Group and one of our well known brands, you will ensure that the Dealership Accountant is fully supported by you and other members of the team.
Salary: Dependant on Experience
Location: Head office, Stoke-on-Trent
Hours of work: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant:
* Support the Dealership Accountant daily on financial matters relating to the business.
* Allocation of balances and reconciling accounts within the trial balance.
* Process vehicle supply purchase invoices and allocating direct debits.
* Collation and allocation of daily banking / allocation of daily customer receipts from bank accounts.
* Issue relevant documentation to ensure payments to customers and suppliers are processed efficiently.
* Deal with queries from both external and internal customers, and take ownership of resolution / escalation where necessary.
Required skills as an Accounts Assistant:
* Knowledge of working in an accounting role for a medium or large size organisation.
* Flexible approach to work, well organised and the ability to handle a large workload.
* Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work and can work to tight deadlines.
* Strong team player who can also work independently.
* IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and an accounting software package.
* Excellent communication skills and then ability to build rapport.
