About WakeUpGB
WakeUpGB is a not‑for‑profit movement created to confront one of the biggest issues facing the UK today: the collapse of trust in politics. Our mission is clear — fix political funding, fix trust, fix the country.
We believe democracy only works when people believe in it. Right now, too many don't.
WakeUpGB is pushing for a political system where:
* Money can't buy influence
* Funding is transparent and accountable
* Every vote matters as much as every donation
* People feel represented, not ignored
We've developed 60 practical ideas to improve the UK, from political reform to strengthening public services. We're building a movement that empowers ordinary people to demand better — because if we stay silent, nothing changes.
This is bigger than a campaign. It's a wake‑up call.
The Role
We're looking for a Social Media Lead who can turn our mission into momentum. Someone who can communicate clearly, creatively, and passionately — and help people understand why political funding reform matters and how it affects their everyday lives.
This role is not about posting for the sake of posting. It's about:
* Educating the public
* Growing a movement
* Inspiring action
* Rebuilding trust
What you'll do
* Lead WakeUpGB's social media strategy across all major platforms
* Create bold, engaging, shareable content that cuts through noise and apathy
* Turn complex political issues into clear, motivating messages
* Drive awareness of our 60 ideas to improve the UK
* Mobilise supporters to sign, share, and take part
* Work with volunteers who share your passion
* Use analytics to refine and strengthen our impact
Who you are
You're someone who wants your work to matter. You care about the future of the UK and believe that transparency and fairness are worth fighting for.
You bring:
* Experience running impactful social media campaigns
* Strong writing and storytelling skills
* Confidence with short‑form video and visual content
* A strategic mind with a creative spark
* A belief in democratic reform and public trust
* The energy to help build a movement from the ground up
How to Apply

* Your CV
* A personal letter explaining why you want to join WakeUpGB and your ideas for promoting
