We are looking for a mid to senior experienced Python Developer with strong data engineering skills to work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, COO Office, business analysts, and external partners. The role involves translating business requirements into technical financial solutions to deliver Python-based financial modeling projects, optimizing asset management systems.
The individual will define and shape Python development practices and set the foundation for future Python projects within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
* Establishing and enforcing coding standards and best practices for Python development
* Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance
* Developing frameworks for Python Notebooks, APIs, and client applications, including reusable libraries and tools
* Contributing to knowledge sharing, training, and documentation for Python practices
* Defining code review processes and quality assurance mechanisms, including version control, automated testing, and peer reviews
* Staying updated with AI trends and exploring Python applications in AI within the organization
* Designing and implementing DevOps practices for Python development, including CI/CD pipelines
Person Specification:
* Masters in Computer Science or similar qualification
* Extensive experience in Python development
* Proficiency in Python ecosystems such as Flask, Django, Pandas, NumPy
* Experience in financial modeling using Python for asset management systems and applications
* Expertise in cloud platforms, especially Azure, with Python integration
* Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and API development
* Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration abilities
* Ability to lead complex work streams under tight deadlines
