Responsibilities
* Be reporting to a Senior Product Security Advisor, with tasking guided by the Head of Consulting, to develop skills and knowledge in providing cyber security and resilience support to customer delivery scenarios and on your own cyber security development project.
* Work with IT professionals and engineers to analyse security threats, identify and mitigate risks, and develop solutions to protect products (e.g., radars, lasers), customers’ systems and data.
* Co-ordinate with engineering teams to deliver all facets of cyber and information security across the engineering lifecycle—from requirements through in-service support and maintenance.
* Contribute to ensuring products meet high standards in line with customer requirements and risk appetite, as part of a team of consultants, engineers and specialists.
* Apply agile, innovative, and team-centric approaches to solving customer problems; may involve blended hybrid working (home and on-site) to support collaboration.
What you’ll bring / Qualifications
* A minimum of an undergraduate degree with a 2:2 classification in an engineering or cyber security discipline (or equivalent).
* Alternatively, a higher degree (MSc or PhD) in engineering and/or cyber security.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong decision-making based on available information.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, including with customers.
* Core consulting skills: client relations, adaptability, reliability, quality of task delivery, flexibility in working hours and locations, and being a team player.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional security controls (National Security Vetting) may apply, potentially including eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
