Overview
Customer Team Member – Location: Walnut Road, Chelston, Torquay, TQ2 6HP
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Contract: 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview. Role will also include working in our in-store bakery. Full, paid training provided. You can apply for this role using your mobile device (no CV needed!). You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team member at Co-op, as it requires working before 6am or after 10pm.
What you’ll do
* Friendly and thoughtful service – put customers first in everything you do: respond to queries, champion Co-op products and Membership, work in the in-store bakery, and help deliver a great shopping experience.
* Work with colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
* Keep the store safe and compliant – stock shelves, and ensure prices, dates, and temperatures are correct.
* Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural and share experiences with colleagues so everyone learns.
* Support the local community by getting involved in activities and events.

Assessments and closing
