Hours: 6 hours 15 minutes per week, term-time only, Monday to Friday (1 hour 15 minutes daily ) five inset days About this Role We would love to hear from you if you can: Relate well to children and staff. Respect school policies and guidelines. Be organised and able to keep simple records. Be flexible and use their initiative. Have some basic first aid knowledge ( training will be given) Tasks will include: Supervising pupils at mealtimes - encouraging children to eat healthily, helping younger pupils to open packaging or cut up food, but crucially embedding good table manners and behaviours. Cleaning up spillages and supporting pupils to clear away after eating. Overseeing children in the playground or during wet play and monitoring the safety and suitability of activities. Modeling positive play and encouraging children to participate in activities alongside our play leaders. Supervising children using toilet facilities - issuing passes to older children and accompanying very young pupils to support them in developing good hygiene. Maintaining order and following the school behaviour policy and procedures. Ensure children who are ill or injured receive appropriate medical attention and report any severe accidents, including head injuries. The school is committed to stringent safeguarding procedures. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and other relevant employment checks, including overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. You will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction, regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
