Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with expertise in MIG welding and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools to produce high-quality components for our projects.
Duties
* Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Experience
* Proven experience in welding, particularly TIG welding, is essential.
* Familiarity with fabrication processes and techniques, especially in sheet metal work.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
