Quality Engineer
Reports To
The Role will report to the Singer GB Quality Process Manager.
Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer with a strong Automotive background to work within the Quality Department on a permanent basis.
You will have previous experience working in a fast-paced, high quality, Low Volume manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for carrying out Investigation and Analysis using proven problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues and implement robust countermeasures.
You must be able to work on your own initiative and use an analytical approach to your tasks. A good communicator both written and verbal, who can work to deadlines in a busy environment.
This role will require working closely with both the Quality, Assembly, Engineering and Supply Chain teams on delivering a product of unparalleled quality.
Responsibilities and Duties
Resolve issues reported during the Assembly process by Identifying root cause and instigating permanent corrective actions.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
Monitor and report on Quality related key performance indicators.
Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.
Demonstrate an attitude of continuous improvement and co-operation within the department.
Lead and/or support groups of technicians and engineers with fault resolution.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
Previous experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment
Demonstratable problem Solving Methodologies (8D, PPS etc.)
Experience of working in Quality Assurance.
Strong knowledge of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
Experience of using CATIA or Equivalent CAD software.
