Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Andover to recruit an experienced Teacher of Personal Development and Health & Social Care for a full-time position starting 13th April 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and committed teacher with excellent behaviour management skills who is passionate about supporting young people’s personal growth, wellbeing and preparation for adult life. You will play a vital role in equipping students with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role
As a Teacher of Personal Development and Health & Social Care, you will:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support students’ personal, social, health and economic development
* Teach Health & Social Care content that prepares students for further education, training and employment
* Create a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment through strong behaviour management and high expectations
* Support pupils as they transition from childhood to young adulthood, promoting resilience, responsibility and independence
* Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support student development
* Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and uphold safeguarding and wellbeing practices
You will be working in a setting that values high standards, inclusion and personal development, where staff collaboration and student success are central to everyday practice.
