<div><p>North Lanarkshire, Wishaw, Coatbridge, Motherwell</p><p>Service Name North Lanarkshire Service</p><p>Type of service Learning Disabilities</p><p>Job Type Support Practitioner</p><p>Hours of work Full Time and/or Part Time</p><p>£13.45 per hour</p><h3>Post: Support Practitioner</h3><p>Service: Learning Disabilities</p><p>Based: North Lanarkshire</p><p>Hours: Full and Part Time available & Relief hours</p><p>Annual: £25,878 (Pro-Rata)</p><p>Contract Permanent</p><h3>CAREERS THAT CARE</h3><p>At Turning Point Scotland, we have opportunities for Support Practitioners to help make a positive impact for people, encouraging them to fulfil their lives with exciting and fun activities, pursue their hobbies and passions & creating memorable experiences.</p><p>Due to the location of service, a driving license and car are essential.</p><p>Embark on an emotionally rewarding journey and apply today!</p><h3>About the role</h3><ul><li>Helping to provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.</li><li>Supporting individuals within the community and engaging with their hobbies and interests & empowering individuals to develop skills and independence, promoting their overall growth.</li><li>Attending various community groups and accompanying our service users to attend activities they are passionate about, from taking a trip to the cinema, enjoying a morning swim or attending local groups or community projects, accompany on holidays and trips away with the individuals we support.</li><li>Assist with personal care, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.</li><li>Celebrate achievements and milestones, both big and small, to create a rewarding and positive environment.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><p>You will have a genuine commitment to use your skills to support people to live their best lives. You will be supported by an incredibly approachable management team, allowing you to expand on your existing knowledge whilst developing new skills. You will have flexibility to work on a rota.</p><p>No previous working experience is needed. To support you in this role, full training will be provided to you on supporting people with complex needs. You will undertake our "New to Forensic" training programme and forensic e-learning to ensure you have all the right tools to do your job with ease.</p><p>We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team!</p><h3>About Us – North Lanarkshire</h3><p>The North Lanarkshire service predominantly provides self-directed support, which allows individuals to have and use their own budgets which has been personally allocated to help people with a variety of needs including physical and/or learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Additionally, we support people who may have complex support needs and/or forensic histories.</p><p>Where there is a requirement for sleepover shifts, you will receive a separate sleepover payment of £107.60 for every sleepover shift you work!</p><p>If you are dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults, we would love to hear from you.</p><p>In addition to your pay, you will also be paid for travel time from service to service at a rate of 45p per mile.</p><p>We welcome applications from all candidates who are eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
