On behalf of our customer, a world-leading aerospace component distributor based in Basingstoke, we are currently recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to join their UK team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in the aviation aftermarket component sector, be methodical in their sales approach, and be able to manage and develop a large portfolio of key accounts.
This is a remote role with regular international travel and a requirement to visit the Basingstoke office twice a month.
The Role
1. Prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for a broad scope of products, services, and solutions, targeting airline and MRO customers.
2. Deliver and regularly exceed sales targets.
3. Position the company as a world-class partner by embracing customer values and balancing their requirements with corporate objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Understand the functionality of all the company's products and effectively differentiate them over competitors.
* Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers; follow up with reports and market intelligence after meetings.
* Make sales calls and travel to customers at least 40% of the time.
* Conduct tactical sales meetings at customer facilities with engineering, planning, purchasing, and management representatives.
* Build relationships with a cross-section of customer contacts and decision makers.
* Monitor competitors and industry trends impacting buying decisions.
* Deliver sales presentations and gather customer information to aid marketing plans.
* Develop budgets and forecasts quarterly.
* Work with Product Managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at key customers.

Education & Experience
* Minimum 5 years of aviation sales experience.
* Aeronautical degrees and additional qualifications are a plus but not essential.
