We are a fun and professional team providing excellent HR and people services across the JRF and JRHT group.
We are seeking an HR Assistant to support the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the People Services Team Leader, you will carry out monthly and annual transactional HR processes, providing effective support and administrative services to managers and employees, ensuring efficiency and organisation. You will also identify and suggest improvements to our systems and processes to foster continuous development within our team and the services we provide.
You will maintain confidential HR records manually and within the HR/Payroll system, ensuring accurate records for prospective, current, and past employees. This includes onboarding new starters, ensuring compliance with pre-recruitment checks, and conducting regular data audits. Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries, you will respond positively and courteously, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach.
Our team is currently undergoing a significant transformation to migrate our HR system onto a web-based platform, moving us towards more modern and efficient ways of working. As a key team member, you will help shape this system to meet our needs and benefit the entire organisation.

Working days for this part-time position are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We are open to candidates working a 4-day week.
What We Want From You
1. Solid experience in a busy HR administration environment.
2. An awareness of employment legislation.
3. Competency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
4. Experience with HR software packages and electronic diary management.
5. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
7. A keen eye for detail and the initiative to use it effectively.
8. Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
9. A Level 3 CIPD qualification (desirable).
