Are you a sports graduate with the energy, resilience, and confidence to support a lively Year 3 pupil with additional needs? A primary school in Westerhope is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with high SEND and behavioural needs.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 support to a Year 3 boy with complex SEND and behavioural needs.
2. Using positive behaviour strategies, patience, and consistency to keep him engaged in learning.
3. Bringing energy and enthusiasm, whether that’s supporting in the classroom or using movement and sport to help with regulation.
4. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans.
5. Creating a safe, structured environment where the pupil can feel supported and understood.
About you:
6. Sports graduate (or similar background) with a passion for working with children.
7. Resilient, energetic, and able to stay calm in challenging situations.
8. Patient, proactive, and confident in building relationships.
9. Some experience of SEND or behavioural support is an advantage, but training will be provided.
10. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
