As Associate Employee Communications Specialist here at Illumina in Cambridge, UK, you’ll be a vital part of our dynamic European Communications team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute across a broad spectrum of communications activities – from internal communications and social media to press office support and event coordination. Key Responsibilities Include: Internal Communications & Leadership Engagement
* Support the development and delivery of internal communications campaigns and initiatives
* Liaise with senior leaders to craft compelling messages and updates
* Assist in the creation of content for internal channels including newsletters, intranet, and video
Media & Press Office Support
* Contribute to media relations efforts, including drafting press releases and media pitches
* Monitor media coverage and support the press office with reactive and proactive communications
Social Media & Digital Content
* Assist in planning and creating content for Illumina’s social media platforms
* Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
Event Coordination
* Support the planning and execution of internal and external events
* Help manage logistics, communications, and post-event follow-up
General Communications Support
* Provide day-to-day support across the communications function
* Contribute creative ideas to enhance engagement and storytelling
