Salary: Grade 8 – 9, £36,363 to £42,839 per annum (salary on appointment will be in accordance with the successful candidate's qualifications and experience).
Hours: 37 per week

Overview
We are looking for a qualified child care Social Worker to join our Foster Wales team in Denbighshire. The ideal candidate is experienced, self‑motivated, and committed to achieving the very best outcomes for vulnerable children. You will assess, train, and supervise a range of foster carers and make evidence‑based recommendations and decisions to support our vision.
In this role you will receive regular reflective supervision from an experienced and highly supportive team manager. Flexible and hybrid working is supported, and we prioritise staff wellbeing. Opportunities for professional development, such as Practice Teaching or specialist training, are also offered.
Responsibilities
* Assess, train and supervise foster carers.
* Make evidence‑based recommendations and decisions to achieve outcomes for vulnerable children.
* Provide reflective supervision and support to staff.
* Support professional development initiatives for the team.
Experience and Qualifications
* Registration with Social Care Wales as a social worker (essential).
* Qualification in social work (e.g., degree or predecessor such as DipSW).
* Experience in child care and fostering preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
