About The RoleQUANTITY SURVEYOR Permanent OpportunityDIVISION: BuildingLOCATION: BathBENEFITS: Car Allowance; Subsidised Private Medical Cover; Life Assurance Scheme; Contributory Pension; 35 Days Annual Leave (Including Public Holidays)Were looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Division and support the delivery of a major student accommodation development in Bath.This role requires strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to manage and deliver successful building projects. Youll lead on cost control, value recovery, and commercial reporting, while developing positive relationships with our supply chain and subcontractors. A solid understanding of NEC and JCT contract administration is essential.Typical Duties Include:Establishing the project budget and allocating cost codes for accurate cost reportingReviewing main contract and subcontract T&Cs, including stepping down provisionsProcuring subcontract packages and preparing tender documentationReporting costs to date and forecasting cost to completionAdministering main and subcontract agreements, including contractual correspondenceLiaising with the Employers team on commercial mattersManaging staff resources to ensure effective cost managementPreparing delay analyses and supporting claim submissionsManaging subcontract issues as they ariseFollowing variation/compensation event procedures to protect commercial interestsCash-flow forecasting and budget preparationWorking with procurement to set project allowancesAttending progress and commercial meetings as the commercial representativeWhat Youll BringEssential:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sectorStrong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contractsSkilled in cost forecasting, budgeting, and commercial reportingExcellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilitiesDegree in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineAbility to manage multiple projects with precision and professionalismDesirable:Experience on fast-paced, high-value construction projectsFamiliarity with modern construction methodsMembership with RICS or CIOBOur Commitment:At GRAHAM, we are proud to say that we are a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and we aim to be the first choice for people from all backgrounds.
