Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in Surrey. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND and other needs such as SEMH. We support children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work one-to-one with children and young people with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support learners referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic, engaging sessions meeting learners’ needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (cost assistance available)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK (including for remote/online work)
It is essential to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term placements as they arise
* Contract for service and PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers the work
* This is not a self-employed position
