Job Overview
The mobile vehicle technician will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs on light vehicles at members’ locations as part of the RAC Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You will work a pre‑booked schedule, carrying out each job in a fully equipped van with a fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine vehicle servicing.
* Carry out diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment.
* Complete in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
* Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
* Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
* Use pre‑planned appointments to ensure preparedness and optimal service quality.
* Deliver high‑quality service and keep members safely on the road.
Qualifications
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
